Dear future AP psychology students, This is the best class I have ever taken. Not only is this class very easy it is also very interesting. My biggest advice for yall is to do the vocabulary, the teacher may its optional but it's a free 100. My favorite project this year was the presentation on clinical psychology I had a lot of fun presenting with friends. For Mrs. Halfen, I think you could leave out the bookwork that comes with movies. I dont have any suggestions for the class because this class is perfect.

Back then people believed that a lobotomy could cure anything https://psychcentral.com/blog/the-surprising-history-of-the-lobotomy. Priming and Primacy often get confused with each other but they are completely different things. Primacy states that things that are at the beginning of a sequence are easier to remember while priming states exposure to a stimulus will affect another stimulus. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Priming_(psychology) Instead of remembering what proactive and retroactive interference was I used the common acronym which helped me a lot. https://link.springer.com/referenceworkentry/10.1007/978-0-387-79948-3_1142#:~:text=Definition,previously%20learned%20the%20old%20number. How good is your memory?

Image
https://www.psychologistworld.com/memory/test My memory is bad and I was surprised that I got 10/12.I think this test is valid because it correctly test you on your short term memory. If it had a timer it would be better because I took a long time. https://www.memorylosstest.com/free-short-term-memory-tests-online/ This test is pretty valid. It test you very well on recognition. It would be harder if you were tested on recall. My score is considered good so I was quite surprised. http://faculty.washington.edu/chudler/java/facemem.html For this test I scored 5 correct bits which was alright. I found this test very challenging. I thought I had good memory for face but guess not. I think this test is kind of valid because its a little easier when the facial features are so distinct from each other.

Social Psych

Compliance is a short term change in behavior that results from trying to fit in even if its wrong. A kid sees his friend bullying a kid, but due to the fear of not fitting in he decides to join in even though he thinks its wrong. Obedience is basically listening to a person of higher authority. The principle at school forces everyone to wear an id for safety reasons so the students will follow the rules. Social facilitation is increased performance when surrounded by people. A student normally slacks off in class but when he got put in a group he starts to put in effort. Group polarization is members of a group developing more extreme ideas due to the feeding of ideas from others. At recess a group of kids meet together and decide on what to play. As the kids discuss they come up with more and more extreme thing to do. Eventually they end up rolling in dirt. Reciprocity norms is the standard the benefits you give others will be returned. In class you are getting bullied. Another ...

My birthday is January 29 2006 so my superhero has abilities that are related to the hippocampus and serotonin. My superhero name is Reminisce. Reminisce superpower is the ability to alter one's bad memories into good ones.      When she was little she got beat at home and got bullied at school. Reminisce ended up being very sad and started losing hope. She was going to jump off a building until a mysterious man saved her. Ever since then, she started having these powers where she could alter people's memories. Reminisce doesn't want anyone to go through a trauma like she has. So she started using her powers for good and altered people's bad memories into good ones.
